Starting to Blog at Nature Network

Nature Publishing Group (NPG) has a reputation for being on the leading edge of the publishing world (not to mention publishing some of the most venerable journals in the world of science).  One of NPG's recent initiatives is a new website called Nature Network, which aims to connect scientists from around the world.

I was recently invited to write on Nature Network by one of their editors.  I decided that Nature Network would be a good place to write about how virtual worlds like Second Life are being used by and for the sciences.  In particular, I figured it would be a good place to archive some of the science-related talks I've been organizing in Second Life (and posting on the events calendar at Nature Network, incidentally).  My first post, submitted today, is a transcript of a talk that Max Chatnoir gave in SL, titled "The Music of Proteins".  I included lots of photos, as well as the questions and discussion with the live audience.  Check it out!

Note:  NPG also has two sims in Second Life, but that's a story for another day.
