Equine Snack

Previous   Next
Image: A running horse (Equus caballus), apparently afraid. Caption: The old snufflewocky then swallowed the horse (fried, of course).

The animal shown is a horse (Equus caballus).

A snufflewocky is a cross between a snuffleupagus and a jabberwocky. I also know an old lady who swallowed a horse, but I’m not sure how she prepared it.

The image in the comic is based on an illustration in Brehms Tierleben (English: Brehm’s Life of Animals) by Alfred Edmund Brehm (1829–1884) et al. (That book is available online at BioLib.de.)
